Hebrew 1 at John Knox Theological College

When the study of the Biblical languages is in decline, it is a sad day for the church. One preacher explained the phrase “The Lord God trieth the heart and reins” in Psalm 7.9 as a reference to a horseman trying the reins on a horse, before setting out on a journey!
The reference, of course, is to God’s trying our inner thoughts and affections. We talk of renal failure, which is an affliction of the kidneys.

The major offering this semester will be HEBREW 1 – a two unit subject of 30 hours length.
